Migrate from cPanel

Bring your cPanel sites over without rebuilding them

Upload a cPanel backup and Amira recreates the account: domains, files, databases, mailboxes, certificates, DNS and cron jobs. Solo Full imports a single account and converts its .htaccess rules to Nginx. Agency connects to the cPanel server over SSH, lists its accounts and moves as many as you pick in a queue, with sync, cutover and rollback. Agency also moves accounts between Amira servers.

Import One cPanel Account (Solo Full)

Upload a cPanel backup or give its URL, preview it, then import.

The preview shows the domains, databases, mailboxes and certificates in the backup and flags anything that already exists. Solo then creates the domains, copies the files, imports the databases (old MySQL passwords kept), mailboxes (old passwords kept), SSL certificates, DNS zone and cron jobs, and finishes with a report of the DNS changes to make at your registrar or Cloudflare.

.htaccess → Nginx Conversion

Apache rules become Nginx rules and panel settings — checked before they go live.

Every .htaccess of an imported site is converted, and each domain has a "Convert .htaccess" button that shows every Apache rule next to what it becomes before anything changes. Redirects, error pages, password-protected folders, hotlink protection and PHP settings go to their panel pages; known apps (WordPress, Laravel, CodeIgniter, Joomla, Drupal, PrestaShop, Magento, WHMCS, Symfony) get their standard Nginx setup; the rest becomes Nginx rules checked with nginx -t, and the previous rules come back if the check fails. Unsafe rules are never converted.

Many Accounts over SSH (Agency)

Pick accounts on a cPanel server, preview them, and move them in a queue.

Agency connects to the cPanel server over SSH and lists its accounts; pick as many as you like. A cpmove archive works too, with no size limit. Every migration starts with a preview (blockers, PHP upgrades, apps to redeploy) and runs in a queue. Accounts get a plan named like their cPanel package. Domains keep their document roots; MySQL users keep their names, passwords and grants; mailboxes keep their passwords, quotas and mail; forwarders, autoresponders, mail filters, the DKIM key, FTP accounts, cron jobs, SSL certificates and the full DNS zone come along. Domains whose mail is at Google or Microsoft keep it there. Sync copies new files and mail again, cutover switches the Cloudflare records (or lists the DNS changes), and rollback removes an imported account. Agency can also export an account back to a cPanel-compatible backup.

Server Transfers Between Amira Servers (Agency)

Move one account, many accounts or a whole server to another Amira Agency server.

The new server connects to the old one over SSH with a key it generates, lists its accounts and previews each one: conflicts, PHP versions, ports and disk space. The import keeps every password and brings sites with their settings, SSL, DNS, mailboxes and DKIM keys, FTP users, MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, cron jobs, SSH keys, Node.js, Python and binary apps, Docker Compose stacks with their volumes, Git deploy settings and backup schedules. Files and mail are copied while the old server stays online. Sync copies newer changes, cutover parks the account on the old server, makes a final copy and points DNS to the new one, and rollback undoes it.
